Football Basics - The Assessment

The Football Basics Assessment is a new and innovative way for colleges and learning providers to assess adult learners in both numeracy and literacy. Students take a journey through a virtual football club and complete the interactive assessment which uses conceptualised football-related questions that are mapped to the Core Curricula from Entry Level 1 to Level 1.

The Assessment is completely self-marking with multiple-choice, click selection and drag and drop questions and data input sections which feed into a centralised database. Data is stored on the Football Basics on-line database. Individual student information can be stored locally and collated and uploaded by tutors separately. This enables the Assessment to be carried out on any machine with or without an Internet connection, making it the perfect tool for Outreach and Community Centres.

All student information is available for tutors to access on-line through a secure Username and Password protected area. Tutors are provided with a full breakdown on student results and can review a comprehensive profile based on the student activity. This will help tutors produce an Individual Learning Plan for the student.

The Assessment is available in multi-student license packs These include: CD-ROMs (PC only), individual student serial numbers, student guide booklets, diskettes to store student data and tutor guide packs. A server version of the Assessment will be available shortly.
